How To Clean Your Sterling Silver Earrings

The easiest way to clean your tarnished sterling silver earrings at home is to use a solution of warm water and baking soda. To do this you will need the following: a piece of aluminum foil, a tablespoon of baking soda, a plastic bowl and a cup of warm water.
Once you have gathered all of the materials, cover the inside of the bowl with the aluminum foil and place the earrings into the bowl.
Next mix in a separate cup the tablespoon of baking soda and one cup of warm water until they are thoroughly mixed.
Once this is done pour the mixture into and up over the earrings in the bowl. Let the mixture sit for a couple of minutes and then take it out and lightly rub the jewelry with either a soft bristle tooth brush or a soft rag or terry cloth.
One of the easiest ways to keep your jewelry from getting tarnished is every time you take it off rub it with a non abrasive scent free hand sanitizer. This will take away very light tarnish from developing into black tarnish.
Some other ways to avoid tarnished sterling silver earrings are to take them off when you workout, clean house or get into the pool or hot tube.

I thought I was doing good training my ears to have earrings again by cleaning and sanitizing them in hydrogen peroxide a few times a day. Already after only two days they are dull. Didn't realize that was a no-no. Hoping this can make them shine again.
